Cha - Issue 37

Inspired by a trip to China back in 2012, the poem "Night Fishing on the Li River" has been a long work in progress going from iterations between poem and short story and back to poem again.  Inspired by watching the relationship between the cormorants and their fishermen and imagining how their roles have changed over the years, from village necessity to a part of the tourist industry, the poem has finally found a home in the Hong Kong-based Cha: An Asian Literary Journal, Issue 37.
