Shiftings & Other Coordinates of Disorder - a Chapbook
IT’S HERE!!! My very first chapbook has arrived!!!
Now available for purchase at Pinhole Poetry’s online shop.
It all began with a chapbook search which I submitted to last minute, because procrastination tends to be my thing. I’d been published earlier by Pinhole Poetry so I knew the press was really wonderful to work with.
Here were the results:
Needless to say, I was bouncing off the walls for a few weeks after I got the news. However, I’ve learned over the years that sometimes these things don’t always happen despite everyone’s best intentions, so after the initial buzz, I approached this with a cautious amount of excitement. But I didn’t need to worry. Working with Pinhole Poetry really was a dream.
After the acceptance announcement, the cover design came a few months later. I gave some suggestions of the feel I was hoping for and sent some examples of covers I liked. When Pinhole emailed me the first mock ups, I instantly fell in love.
After I approved the cover and sent in a final version of my manuscript, book production began. And what a production it is. These books are hand-stitched limited editions, so they take a bit of love and time to make. Near the end of April, about a week before the launch party, I received my author copies and I finally got to hold my own book in my hands (more on that in a later post).
What is an author copy? Usually, the author has a few copies on hand to mail out, give as gifts, use in promotions, or basically do what they wish with. All my author copies have a red stamp on the first page.
