Small Mythologies from a Late Summer Garden

Whoo hoo! National Flash Fiction Day is back!

It’s been four years (time flies…) since I was last part of FlashFlood, a fabulous online event where a new piece of flash fiction gets published every 5-10 minutes for 24 hours. I’m not sure whether it was because I submitted late, or there is some sort of secret order the editors do, but I got to be one of the pieces to close out this year’s event. Regardless, it was wonderful to get swept up in the wordy action once more.

Anyhow, if you’re interested in reading a story about rainy summers, soggy seedlings, and spicy chili peppers, read “Small Mythologies from a Late Summer Garden”.

Pails of rain bail out the sky.  Silver drops find all the holes in a leaky tin shed.
