Chillin' in Helsinki

It's been a surreal 48 hours. We flew from Singapore to Bangkok and then hopped on a 10 hour flight to Helsinki where we're spending a 24 hour layover before continuing onto our final destination.  Whew! Take that Amazing Race!  After a good night's sleep, we bundled up (Singapore was 35 degrees and Helsinki is 2 degrees) and did a little exploring around this pretty city.

Taking a walk along the ferry terminal area.

Temppeliaukion Church, a beautiful architural design hewn out of solid rock.

The Old Market Hall is a long narrow building housing little cafes, eateries, and shops selling food items.

Riding the very expensive tram...3.20€ per person!

Helsinki Cathedral.

Tram lines around Senate Square.

Street performer playing music on wine bottles.

Seagulls on ice.  Yep, there's still ice here.
