Sparkler

Another year brings birthdays, candles, and a few new wishes.

Making this film was not quite a piece of cake. I originally thought there should be a cake in this film and I could not find one I liked. After searching multiple grocery stores, I gave up trying to find the perfect baked confection with whipped cream and colorful fruits between spongy vanilla layers. Instead, I got this rather plain, definitely not pretty, chocolate roll cake. The irony is the roll cake never made it into the film, but it did still made an important contribution by being the thing that held up the candles and the sparklers.
