Lynn Canyon

Lined with easy hiking trails, waterfalls, and a (free!) suspension bridge, Lynn Canyon is a great place to escape the big city vibe and get in touch with the greener things in life.
Hiking trails are well marked and laid out. There is some elevation gain around the waterfalls, but there’s plenty of sturdy steps to help with the ascents and descents.
Cross over the wooden footbridge above Twin Falls for some really nice views.
Moss covered trees lining the path.
One of the highlights at Lynn Canyon is the suspension bridge. This one is free and not to be mistaken with the admission-charging, but also pretty Capilano Suspension Bridge.
Follow the river up north, past the suspension bridge to find…
…the 30 and 90 foot pools, complete with warning signs about cliff jumping.
The pools were too cold for a swim, but still great to sit on the shore and watch the water go by.
A longer hike (or a short drive) leads to the peaceful Rice Lake.
Follow the trail around the lake, or wander out onto the floating dock for a bit of fishing.
