glacier lake | precipitation

Well, we finally made it to the last short poetry film of the series. Thank you to everyone who’s watched and cheered for these little origami characters as they navigated through their glacier lake adventures.

While the snowflake was probably the second hardest origami character to make, it was still easier than the shell and I liked how this pattern broke the snowflake into pieces which I could use to add to the narrative of the film.

A final behind the scenes tidbit. This is the first time I’ve ever had to use a hairdryer for a film special effect.

And if anyone wants to watch this series in order from start (or in this case teaser trailer) to finish, here is the playlist:

These poems were first published as "Fragments of Autumn at Glacier Lake" - IceFloe Press - Geographies Series, April 2024.
