The Night Heron Barks - Winter 2021

I adore lit mags with beautiful artwork, and, in my opinion The Night Heron Barks has some of the best, so I’m thrilled to have a poem “Wiping Windows During a Springtime Storm” in the Winter 2021 issue.

There’s also an audio recording of me reading the poem. If you’ve got 1:27 minutes, then, please check that out as well.

This poem was originally created/submitted as part of Contemporary Verse 2’s 2 Day Challenge in which writers are given 10 words and 2 days to write a poem. Hence, unusual things such as “octothorpe” and “carapace” have snuck into this poem.
