Singapore wraps up the Asia part of our trip and we've had a lot of fun here admiring the modern architecture and the beautiful gardens and green spaces. It is a very comfortable city to travel in and a good transition city between Asia and our next stop, which is Europe.

Read MoreWe took a break from the cement and exhaust of the big city and headed out to do something a little greener. The Singapore Botanic Gardens contains several themed gardens including a Healing Garden (displays plants used in traditional medicine in South East Asia), a Fragrant Garden (where jasmine and ylang ylang are still in bloom), a little bonsai garden, and more. The highlight is the Orchid Garden which takes you on a beautiful stroll through 1,000 species and over 2,000 different hybrids of orchids.
