The Hopper - Issue 6.1

It’s been a year (almost two now) of staying at home and staying inside. Honestly, it hasn’t been the best for my creativity. However, one perk is that writing classes are virtual and I can attend from the comfort of my own home. During one such writing class, we were working on a timed writing exercise (nothing like a little creativity under pressure), an I was coming up with nothing. After some frantic writing/deleting/writing cycles, I took a breath and looked outside. The lilac bush was in full bloom. And I began to write. Sometimes, we do not have to go far for inspiration, we just need to look for it.

Read “Lilac Bush” in the Hopper, Issue 6.1.
